As good as new!

Did you know we recover awnings as well as fitting them? For a fraction of the price of a new one, we can recover an existing awning, helping to give your home or business a fresh, new look.

Popular styles and fashions change so quickly, and often the awning framework still works well, but the overall look is in need of an update. If this is the case, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Recovering involves taking down the awning, freshening up the frame work, and most importantly, fitting a new fabric chosen by you from our huge range of colours and patterns to compliment your outdoor space. Once that’s done, our experienced fitters will reinstall your awning, allowing you to continue enjoying shade from the sun and shelter from the rain under a more attractive and up to date canopy.

Technology that is not to be sneezed at!

Did you know that around 16 million people in the UK suffer from hay fever? This problem doesn’t just last for a couple of weeks, but can extend from March until October – that’s two thirds of the year!

Louvolite has created a fantastic new product to combat this problem: Pollergen. So how does it work?

The amount of pollen in the air depends upon on a number of factors, for example the time of year. A moderate day might see 30-50 pollen grains per cubic metre of air, whereas a high pollen count may be in excess of 150 pollen grains per cubic metre.

A Pollergen-treated Louvolite fabric contains additives that increase the capture rate of pollen. Once captured, the unique formulation of the fabric works to ‘denature’ it, essentially killing the active element of the pollen which causes the problems.

Sounds great, right? Well, independent testing carried out by the National Pollen and Aerobiology Research unit has concluded that a Pollergen-treated fabric shows over 50% reduction in grass pollen allergen when compared to an untreated control fabric. So, simply put – yes, it does work!
