Taking Care of your Shutters

Our Shutters will give you many years of trouble free operation if you follow some very simple suggestions. All our Shutters are designed and manufactured in such a way that they should not require any lubrication at all.

However should the Shutter by any chance suffer any damage it may not operate correctly. If this happens please give us a call on 01482 326 657. Do not try to operate the damaged Shutter.

If your Shutter is electrically operated it is imperative that you do not operate it with any form of lock in position. This could create serious problems with the motor. We recommend that if you wish to use locks with your electrically operated shutter you should contact us for advice first. We do have a system which solves this problem.

Do not lower the Shutter curtain on to any form of obstruction; always check that the operating area is clear before and during operation.

With electrically operated Shutters, if you should encounter problems it is always best to check the fuse and that the power has not been turned off before calling us, simple but it happens a lot! If this is not the case, please contact us and do not attempt to repair it yourself.
